This weeks discussion will follow an introduction by Ian Henry, Professor of Leisure Policy and Management and Director of the Centre for Olympic Studies & Research in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
The Olympics and Paralympic Games are just over 4 and 5 months away respectively. Team GB is basing itself at the UKs top sporting university so this is a very topical subject for Loughborough. What are the political issues surrounding the build up to, and the legacy of, the Olympic games. Ian has a long CV covering many political and social aspects of sport in the UK and abroad, including inter-culturalism, anti-racism, inclusivity, women in sport to name but a few.
