The “Loughborough Town Centre Master Plan” is the subject of the next regular ABC Meeting on Tuesday 9th October (7 – 9pm at John Storer House, Ward’s End, Loughborough). Dave Hankin , Regeneration and Economic Development Officer at Charnwood Borough Council will talk about the work being undertaken on this master plan and more generally about regeneration in Loughborough. Loughborough’s economy and town centre, in line with many other towns, faces different pressures if it is to remain a viable. The town is to receive £100,000 under the Mary Portas pilot scheme to
re-invigorate the high streets. It is some time since the master plan was adopted, so this is an opportunity to discuss the future of the Loughborough Town Centre and how this work can contribute to sustainability, which is one of ABC’s concerns.
Details on the master plan can be found at: http://www.charnwood.gov.uk/pages/loughboroughtowncentremasterplan
