Is this government ageist?

Friday 1st March , 7:00 pm for 7:30, Unity House, Fennel Street Loughborough.

Discussion to be introduced by Charles Walker

Is this government ageist? EMA has been cut, tuition fees trebled, child benefit means tested and Building Schools for the Future completely axed. Meanwhile, state pensions get the triple lock and the over 65s keep their benefits without means testing. Were these decisions affected by voting patterns? The young had a much lower turnout (and much lower support for the Conservatives) at the last election, while turnout is reliably high amongst the elderly. Most importantly, why are the young so disengaged with politics, and what can we do about it?
